Expedited Pet Clearance
The Turks and Caicos Islands import approximately five hundred (500) dogs and cats annually, and exports an additional four hundred (400). These numbers have been increasing steadily as more visitors travel with companion or therapy animals.
Animals can become restless after travel and some may need to pass excreta as soon as possible. Furthermore, others become nervous, which can lead to constant barking and seen as an irritant to non-pet travelers.
These observations have led us to introduce this unique and needed service, of expedited pet clearance.
The service will entail personnel meeting the pet owners in the Immigration area, escorting the owner to the Immigration Counter, Customs Officials and then to the official for the Agricultural Department.
Exports
We will provide guidance on the relevant documentation needed for the legal exit of your animal inlcluding:
- Arrange vet appointment/visits
- Submission of documents to the veterinary authority
- Uplift export documents
- Expedited (VIP) pet clearance
